General Data Protection Law
The General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (LGPD), Law No. 13,709, of August 14, 2018 , provides for the processing of personal data, including in digital media, by a natural person or a legal person under public or private law, with the objective of protecting the fundamental rights of freedom and privacy and the free development of the personality of the natural person.

To protect the fundamental rights of freedom and privacy and the free development of the personality of the natural person, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) was created, as established in Decree nº 10.474, of August 26, 2020 .

Data subject's rights

Every natural person is assured of the ownership of their personal data and the fundamental rights of freedom, intimacy and privacy are guaranteed, under the terms of the LGPD ( Article 17 of the LGPD ).

The holder of personal data is entitled to obtain from the controller, in relation to the data of the holder processed by him, at any time and upon request:
I - confirmation of the existence of treatment;
II - access to data maintained by the controller;
III - correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
IV - anonymization, blocking or elimination of unnecessary, excessive or treated data that does not comply with the provisions of the LGPD;
V - data portability to another service or product supplier, upon express request;
VI - elimination of the personal data processed when the consent given by the holder is revoked;
VII - information with whom the controller shared its data;
VIII - information on the possibility of not providing consent and on the consequences of the refusal;
IX - revocation of consent.
